We're Real People With Real Results. It's easy to blast "before and afters" when you're a national brand and have a corporate headquarters with professional designers, paid endorsers, fancy titles like chief marketing officer and sales systems that teach employees to "sell ice to eskimos".

That's not us and we'd like to think we're doing a pretty good without it. Below are some REAL stories of REAL clients you'll REALLY see in our studio! We LOVE training people and getting Results. We hate marketing and selling so we're hoping our clients will do that part for us...

Introducing Jodi from W. Bloomfield--  She's one of our clients (whom you'll actually see training in our studio if you stop by at the right time). She's a mother of two, suffers from PCOS and has no thyroid. For years she struggled with weight issues. Like many of our clients, she'd tried spinning, fitness classes, zumba, and weight watchers with little to no appreciable results in the past.

When beginning her fitness journey she was genuinely worried about lifting weights and whether or not they would make her "bulky" or "too big". It's a real concern we often hear from our clients. It's one of the many common misconceptions floating around the fitness industry. We'll let you draw your own conclusions but we think she's looking great.

Down over 64lbs and 14.5% bodyfat she's smaller than she was in middle school! We aren't going to lie to you and tell you it will happen in 30, 60 or even 90 days like many fitness advertisers would lead you to believe. Let's be REAL with each other...how long did it take to gain the weight you're looking to lose? For Jodi, so far it's been a little over 7 months of training with us 3 days per week. She also puts in a lot of work toward eating healthy, counting calories using MyFitnessPal and sharing it with her trainer. It's about accountability, knowledge and execution. It isn't always easy but we promise you, IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT!


Introducing Jonathon, also from West Bloomfield-- Over two years ago Jonathon began training with Reid, one of our owners at Motiv8. Jonathon was exercise averse to say the least...in his own words "exercise was a four letter word to me...and now, I (actually) look forward to working out each week". When his exercise journey began Reid was making house calls and they began very modestly with standing up from a couch and sitting down. They'd walk one flight of stairs and go for about 10 min on the treadmill. Today Jonathon is down over 200lbs, walks 3.5 miles daily on his treadmill AND trains with weights 2-3 times weekly at Motiv8. Talk about long term lifestyle changes!!! 

Forget the quick fixes, crash diets, magic pills and hyped up exercise fads. Real results take steady and progressive change. It doesn't happen overnight, it doesn't happen in a matter of weeks (if it does, it was a crash diet/program and as soon as you stop it will come back, plus some). Long term, permanent change take time. We're not seeking perfection from you, we're seeking consistency.

Before introducing you to a number of other clients, all varying in age, goals, and beginning skill levels, let's give you a chance to meet some of our trainers. They're as diverse as our clients. It's important when beginning your fitness journey to not only find a personal trainer you are comfortable with (we know every one of our trainers here will make you feel comforatble) but find a trainer you really "click" with. Long term success hinges on ensuring you're working with someone who's personality fits well with yours.

If you want to be motivated to exercise, do strength training, or improve your health, you will find Motiv8 a great place to get more out of life. Reid and Chris are amazing at what the do at Motiv8. They are knowledgeable, encouraging and fun. Sometimes fitness coaches can be a little arrogant. Not so these trainers.

I began working with Motiv8 beginning summer of 2014. Being a first year AAA Midget Major, I knew I was going to need to get bigger and stronger. Working with Reid I was able to increase my core strength to keep my balance from taking a hit, build my legs for more speed and acceleration on the ice, and shoulder complex to avoid injury from a hit.
