Frequently Asked Questions:

How long is each class?

Classes are 1.5 hours in length. They typically begin with a 15-20 minute discussion on a chosen topic for the week, followed by a warmup and that day's scheduled strength movements.

How long is the course?

Courses are 12 weeks long except for our 6 weeks introductory course: "6 Weeks of Strength".

How often does the class meet?

Classes meet once per week with 2-3 additional "homework" days assigned.

Do you recommend students have a gym membership?

Yes, because we are a private gym there is very little opportunity for "open gym time" so it is recommended that our students belong to any big box gym (except for Planet Fitness, as they do not have barbells) OR have access to a home gym. The home gym should have at minimum an Olympic barbell, plates, a squat rack and bench.

Can I start at any level?

No. All new students to Motiv8's strength school must attend either 6 Weeks of Strength or pass our benchmark exam to begin with Level 1.

How many students are there in class?

Classes are capped at 4 students providing you with incredible one-on-one attention from your instructor.

Do you discuss nutrition?

Of course. Nutrition is an essential part of performance and strength. You're only as capable as the fuel you provide your body.

What does a course cost?

6 Weeks of Strength is $219. This includes six 1.5 hour classes, weekly homework, a t-shirt, initial and final strength, size & bodyfat assessment. Courses are payable in 3 monthly installments of $166 per course.

What is the per session cost breakdown?

Semi-private courses are the wave of the future because they spread the cost over a handful of people who all benefit. Our classes break down to roughly $16 per hour which is unheard of when comparing them to $80-100/hr for one-on-one sessions at a big box gym.

When are the courses offered?

Our course schedule is growing, so it's best to contact us for the most up to date information. If you have a couple friends who'd like to train together we can create additional private classes for your group. A minimum of 3 students are needed.

Do you offer "open gym" times?

Occasionally we do open the gym on Saturday or Sunday afternoons to workout alongside your instructors but it's fairly limited. Because we are a private gym, we recommend joining a big retail gym for your homework. You can find many great deals for $20-30/mo.
